![]() Yet, in spite of this, many people do not take care of their dental health the way they should. After years of visiting with patients, we have a bit of wisdom on this topic. It is our hope tha t by reading this, you will be motivated to pay attention to your dental health. People Tend to Look at the Short TermEven though pretty much everyone knows what the outcome will be if you are not properly caring for your teeth, one reason that many people still neglect their dental health is simply that they don't see far enough down the road. Just like many people will eat junk food and engage in other habits that will eventually sicken or even kill them, people don't pay attention to their teeth because the consequences are far removed. They don't see any immediate effect from neglecting their dental health, and it's easy to ignore what will happen years down the road. Caring for Your Teeth Delivers a Payoff Down the RoadOf course, we urge you to not approach your dental health like this. Keep in mind that what you do today will have very real consequences down the road. You should make it a point to brush your teeth at least twice every day. In addition, floss once every day, and be sure that you come see us for a thorough cleaning and checkup every six months. We want to see your teeth last a lifetime. So, pick up good habits, and as always, if you have any questions about your teeth, please feel free to pick up the phone and call. |
